Mad Max And AC/DC, a match made in hell.
Fresh form the wasteland that is E3 2015, that’s the latest look at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max game, which follows hot on the heels of the film that’s in theaters now. Oh, and seriously, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, GO. It’s one of the best movies of the year and easily one of the best action films in a long, long time. Maybe since the heyday of action movies in the late 80s/early 90s.
Back to the game though, because Mad Max (the game) will actually have very little to do with the movie, and will be a new gasoline and blood soaked adventure in the world of Max. As you saw, his newest target is the tyrannical menace known as Scrotus, who leads his own catered of Warboys into battle, and runs roughshod over the Australian Wasteland.
As usual for Max too, he’s really just trying to get away from the insanity of post-apocalyptic society, and that’s what brings him into Scrotus’ crosshairs… and Scrotus into his. So far, the game looks pretty great and seems to hit all the right notes for part of the Mad Max franchise. It’s also really the first Max game since the NES era, so it’s kind of a long time coming.
We’ll have plenty more on this one before it hits consoles and the PC on September 1st, so buckle up.
