This week’s installment of the Nintendo Download includes the return of Mario vs Donkey Kong, the arrival of Olli Olli on the Wii U and 3DS, and more.
Well if you’ve been waiting patiently for a return to the puzzling gameplay of Mario vs Donkey Kong, then you’re in luck this week as Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars has arrived for the Wii U and the 3DS. The game features more of the head-scratching gameplay form the previous installments, but includes more toy-like Nintendo characters for you to direct through its levels. Also really cool, this one includes cross-buy. If you purchase the game on the Wii U, you automatically get a free download codes to nab it on the 3DS as well. I’d love to see Nintendo do more of this, so lets hope Tipping Stars sells well.
Also available today is Olli Olli. The side-scrolling skateboard title has been a smash hit on other consoles as well as the PC and now it’s finally made it to both Nintendo consoles- and it features cross-buy as well! Featuring tons of tricks, stunts, and challenges to complete, Olli Olli is one of the most unconventional skateboard games in years, and also one of the best. Pick it up on the Wii U or the 3DS and get the opposite edition on the house.
There are a few smaller games available this week as well, and some new Kirby-centric themes for the 3DS as well, if that’s your thing. Also worth noting, the New 3DS will be playable at Best Buy stores from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 7m, which is this Sunday.
You’ll be able to try out the new console, as well as the Amiibo interactivity that it sports and play a few rounds in Super Smash Bros, as well as try out The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Oh, and if you bring your own console, you might be able to nab a Mii of Majora’s Mask producer, Eiji Aonuma. And it goes without saying that you’ll probably also get a bunch of other streetpasses too.
