Live the life of a traveling monster hunter in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

CD Projekt Red’s last title in The Witcher series is going to be just about the biggest and best looking RPG you’ve ever played.

Seriously, I’m not even really an RPG fan and I’m more than a little pumped to tackle Geralt’s latest adventure. CD Projekt Red looks to be loading The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt up with just about everything that you could possibly imagine doing in an RPG- and yet not forcing any of it on the player.

The world is massive, there are points of interest everywhere and mile upon mile of wilderness to traverse and fight your way through. You can also actually live the life of a Witcher (monster hunter) if you like and stalk the beasts that go bump in the night… or not. Thanks to what the developer is doing here, it slap looks like you could just as easily stick to the main story and fast-travel everywhere if you prefer that route. As someone who loves the idea behind these kinds of games but rarely has the time to play all the way through them, I really appreciate that aspect of The Witcher 3’s design. Sounds like great stuff all around.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt stakes the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on February 24th, 2015.
