Pinball FX2 shoots onto Xbox One this month

Zen’s brand of pinball simulation is finally arriving on the Xbox One, and much sooner than later.

“With the release of Pinball FX2 on Xbox One, we have closed the loop and can now offer our fans a complete virtual pinball experience, regardless of their system preference,” said Mel Kirk, VP of Publishing at Zen Studios. “We’ve got a lot of great things planned for the newest generation of consoles when it comes to pinball, so stay tuned for some awesome new stuff from Zen Studios.”

Pretty much the lone standout console without a Pinball title on it from the company, the Xbox One now has it’s own version of Pinball FX2 and all the trimmings that go along with it. The new version of the game comes complete with support for “virtually all tables” including all Star Wars Pinball table packs, all Marvel Pinball tables, Plants vs. Zombies Pinball, and Zen’s original tables available for purchase, with future tables, including The Walking Dead Pinball, just on the horizon.”

Zen is also promising 1080p support with the game running at 60fps. With all that and a new UI, new achievements, and online tournaments, Pinball FX2 on the Xbox One is about as full featured as you would expect to see it. Initially a free download (just for the platform itself), tables will cost between $2.49 and $2.99 each with collections (like the Marvel packs) running at $9.99 USD.

Pinball FX2 arrives on the Xbox One on July 31st.
