Contrast hits a shade over 1million downloads

Compulsion Games shadowy puzzle/platformer is proving quite popular on the PSN.

One of the very first games available for Sony’s newest console on the PlayStation Network, Contrast takes place in the roaring ’20s. Through the eyes of a child, the title tells the tale of a family down on their luck in the Big Easy and surrounded with vaudeville culture and some less that respectable folk.

“We feel rewarded and ecstatic that so many PlayStation fans have embraced our world throughout the Holiday season,” stated Guillaume Provost, Founder and Creative Director, Compulsion Games. “It has given us the wonderful opportunity to engage with the community; evolving and improving the game as a result of their feedback. We’re overwhelmed with the fan support and look forward to sharing Contrast with a whole new audience.”

It’s been quite the runaway success story for the game, which as of now sees sales on the PSN pass by the on million mark.  Compulsion is also looking to add onto those numbers in a big way as the game is on sale right now on the PS4’s download storefront as part of a new Flash Sale.

Right now, and lasting only through to tomorrow, you can snag a PS3 or PS4 copy of the game for 50% off the usual asking price at only $7.49 USD. The sale is live for the US, UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand so you’ve got a good change of getting in  on the deal wherever you might call home.

Contrast is available now for not only Sony’s home consoles, but also the PC and Xbox 360. The usual selling price is $14.99 USD and you can check out our review of the PlayStation 4 version of the game here.
