Go backstage with Contrast

Developer Compulsion Games takes you behind the scenes on their stylish new puzzle/platformer- Contrast.

Set in a changing world that has you guiding Didi and her imaginary friend Dawn into and out of shadows cast against a vibrantly-colored circus inspired game world. And the change in looks isn’t just for show either as the ‘real’ world in Contrast plays in 3D (and is drop-dead gorgeous), while the 2D shadow world is decidedly 2D in style.

The dual nature is really striking and looks like it comes off beautifully- not to mention that it sounds great too with a jazzy soundtrack (headlined by singer Laura Ellis) that the developers are quite proud of. They probably should be, since it certainly isn’t every day that you hear music like that in a game.

Contrast is scheduled to come into the light this month on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
