Dragon Age may have stumbled with the second outing a few years back, but EA and BioWare’s just announced Dragon Age Inquisition is sounding like it might be a return to form.
Inquisition sees players reenter the world of Thedas as it teeters on the brink of cataclysm. Developer BioWare promises that the RPG will feature “expansive story-driven open world filled with complex characters, meaningful player choices, and challenging combat”.
The player is cast as the leader of the Inquisition in a plot that’ll turn the Dragon Age universe upside down. Dragon Age Inquisition will allow players to shape the world they play in too, which is very reminiscent of the first game- Dragon Age Origins. That would be a very good thing indeed as Origins was widely held as one of the best RPGs on consoles.
Combine that with the next generation visuals that Inquisition will be pumping out and you’ve got a game that could be a big winner for fantasy RPG fans.
Dragon Age Inquisition will lay siege to the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 this Fall.
