Single player DLC and Season Pass coming for Metro: Last Light

New single player content for the post-apocalyptic shooter is on the way.

The nightmare isn’t over.

Deep Silver have announced their plans for upcoming single player DLC content for their recently released shooter Metro: Last Light, the sequel to 4A Games’ Metro 2033. The content will come in the form of several packs, respectively entitled ‘Faction Pack’, Chronicles Pack’, ‘Tower Pack’ and ‘Developer Pack’.

The first two packs will offer brand new single player gameplay which will expand upon the game’s universe and story. The ‘Tower Pack’ will provide more skilled players with a unique solo challenge, and the ‘Developer Pack’ features as-of-yet mystery tools to allow players to further explore the game’s irradiated world.

4A Games Creative Director Andrew Prokhorov explained the developer’s vision for the DLC content.

“Artyom’s story may have been concluded in Metro: Last Light, but there are other characters with stories to tell, some familiar locations that fans of the Metro series wanted to revisit, and some new challenges that 4A wanted to explore.”

The full collection of DLC will be an option for players in the form of a Season Pass, which is available for purchase now from Xbox Live, Playstation Network and Steam for $14.99, £11.99, €14.99 or 1200 MSP. The Season Pass offers all packs previously mentioned, as well as an exclusive  semi-automatic shotgun rifle with a secondary fire mode capable of firing six shells in one blast.

The first round of DLC content, ‘Faction Pack’, will be released in June 2013.
