Gibson opening new Las Vegas locale in 2027

The latest in a series of brick and mortar experiences from Gibson is coming up next year, with Gibson Garage Las Vegas.

One of the biggest names in music, Gibson has been crafting instruments for well over a century. The company’s catalogue is surprisingly diverse at this point too. Even so though, naturally it’s the guitars that seem to come to mind as being synonymous with the name. That’s understandable, given they’re where the company got its start.

Lately, it’s not just tune-making goods than Gibson has been involved with though. If you’re unaware, there’s a relatively new line of “retail and music” destinations that it’s been bringing to life. Those are so far located in Nashville and London, with one opening soon in Miami (September 10th), with all of them falling under the “Gibson Garage” heading.

Now you’ll be able to add one more of those locales to the list, and it’s a doozy. Set to open its doors some time next year at Vegas’ Miracle Mile Shops, will be the absolutely massive, 9,000-square-foot Gibson Garage Las Vegas.

And from the sound of it, this new spot will be way more than just a retail shop.

“Las Vegas is one of the most exciting entertainment destinations in the world, and the Gibson Garage Las Vegas will be designed to meet that energy at full volume,” says Anne Rohosy, Interim CEO of Gibson. “This will be much more than a place to buy a guitar — it will be a place to play, discover, perform, connect and experience the Gibson legacy in a way that can only happen in Las Vegas. Building on what we’ve created in Nashville, London and Miami, Gibson Garage Las Vegas will take experiential retail, artist culture and music to an entirely new level.”

There couldn’t be a better city for Gibson Garage than Las Vegas, or a better location in Las Vegas than Miracle Mile Shops.”

More than just shopping

Fans can look for a heck of a lot to be included with this one, according to the press release. That explains that the full family of the brand’s product lines will be explorable. And yes, that’ll come complete with the ability for visitors to “pick up and play instruments”.

Yes, complete with limited-edition and collectible models, shopping is set to be a big part of the Garage. That said though, it won’t be the only part. For one thing, there’s the Acoustic Murphy Lab Collection Room. It’s there that fans will find “an intimate and elevated environment to experience some of Gibson’s most exceptional acoustic instruments”. Hang on though, because that’s far from all Gibson Garage Las Vegas has in store.

Right there with all of the above, will be a live stage and “sound environment”. Yep, Gibson Garage Las Vegas will be set up to welcome in live performances, and that’s just the start. Additionally, the stage will host “special events, exclusive showcases, product launches, and unforgettable fan experiences”. So there’s a lot more on tap than just shopping.

As for when all of this will kick off though, we’re not sure. Gibson says that “the official opening date, artist appearances, and grand opening celebrations” are yet to be revealed. So, basically, stay tuned.
