Bowser Jr. set to chomp JAKKS Pacific’s Super Mario line

A brand new Bowser Jr. figure is set to take a bite out of the Super Mario Galaxy action figure line. He’s hitting pre-order now.

In theaters now, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie brings a wider look at the Mushroom Kingdom. If you’ve yet to see it, the flick sees a whole bunch more of the long-lived property’s characters make their big screen debuts. Highlights of those include SMB2’s Wart, and none other than Bowser Jr.

Bringing the cavalcade of characters to kids and collectors once again too, is JAKKS Pacific. The toy-maker is the home of all things Super Mario after all, and looks to be going deep on the new line. To that end, JAKKS has revealed a mighty new edition of Bowser Jr. And yes, he’s ready to put a bite on Mario and crew.

The figure, which just landed for pre-orders, is officially dubbed Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. Before you ask, yes, there’s a good reason for that. The figure will stand in at 8″ tall, with 13 points of articulation, but will also feature a biting mechanism. Fans can push his Koopa shell forward to activate the bite, and witness the mighty chomp of the (not-so) little guy.

That’s just the half of it too. Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. also has a water-activated feature. That’ll work via his paint brush, which can dose his base with water to reveal “ink splatter effects”. That’s kind of hitting a nostalgic tone for us, as water effects were a 90s staple. Neat to see it again here.

Standing over 8 inches tall, Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. delivers dynamic, action-packed fun with 13 points of articulation and a signature chomping motion activated by pushing his shell forward. The figure also includes a multi-head paint brush with swappable tips including a brush, axe, mace and arrowhead, allowing fans to recreate epic battle moments. A water-reveal feature brings added interactivity, as users can use the brush tip to reveal ink splatter effects again and again.

Once again, Chomping Wonder Bowser Jr. is up for pre-order now. Once he’s on shelves, fans can look for him to hit Target and Smyth Toys. That’ll happen some time later this summer. He won’t be alone when he does either, as JAKKS lineup is looking to explode with multiple new figures.

Summer 2026 will see new Premium Figures with Flying Mario, Cloud Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser. There’ll also be mini-scale figures, plush, pullback vehicles, and more. In with that last category? That’d be a Deluxe Wonder Bowser Jr. Planet playset, and a Walmart exclusive Mario Riding Yoshi Feature Figure.
