Dark Horse unveils Legacy of Kain “Nosgoth” art print

Hang the world of Legacy of Kain on your wall, with Dark Horse’s latest print. Get a look at Nosgoth in all its glory.

Legacy of Kain continues its comeback

It’s still kind of amazing to see the comeback that Legacy of Kain is rolling through. The property was dormant for years after all, but now has seen remasterings of the Soul Reaver games, as well as the original series-capper, Defiance.

Heck, while it might be a little different for the franchise, there’s even a new game on the horizon. That’ll come by way of Ascendance, a 2D, action/platforming prequel. If you haven’t seen it in action yet, click over and check out the trailer here.

But along with all of the above too, there’s a fresh collectible to talk about. Thanks to Dark Horse Direct and Crystal Dynamics, fans will soon be able to take home a piece of the LoK mythos. As you can see above, that would be a “fine art print” of Nosgoth itself.

A world of vampirism

Followers of the dark gothic tales that are Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver should instantly recognize the fantasy world that the games inhabit. Shown for the first time here in these preview images, the Legacy of Kain: Map of Nosgoth Fine Art Print looks to be nicely detailed. Hailing from artist Francesca Baerald, the piece delves into the overall layout of the world.

Surrounding the main image as well, are depictions of the various power-players from the games. Kain and Raziel are most definitely two of those, but so are the likes of Janos Audron, Vorador, and others. Even the tentacled Elder God is present, in a way, more or less framing the entire scene.

Nosgoth has suffered from centuries of conflict, and the heart of these lands have been captured all the way from the horrific gardens at Dark Eden to the nine Pillars of Nosgoth displayed across the bottom of the print. Encircling the map are the iconic heroes and adversaries who shaped Nosgoth, including Raziel (top right), Kain, Janos Audron, Vorador (top left), Moebius (bottom right), Mortanius (bottom left), and Ariel (bottom center). Even the Elder God extends his arms and watchful eyes along the print’s borders.
