The upcoming Masters of the Universe movie will indeed have a comics crossover. That’ll come by way of a miniseries from Dark Horse.
Masters of the Universe (comic book) power
The most powerful man in the universe is coming back in a big way. Unless you’ve been living under a rock though, you already knew that. The resurgence comes as Masters of the Universe heads back to the silver screen this year of course. And with that, the hype train is indeed rolling.
That’s to be expected though, as it is kind of a big deal. After all, this’ll be only the second time that the long-lived 80s property from Mattel will be appearing in live-action form. Naturally too, said movie will result in quite a bit of merchandise. So far, we’ve seen a mighty collection of action figures that are on the way, and now there’s a comic to talk about. And no, we don’t mean the comic book series that was announced by Dark Horse a few weeks back.

This second reveal is for a miniseries event, that’ll play directly off of the movie itself. Set for four issues, fans can seemingly look for it to introduce some additional elements to the movie universe. Those will include a certain realm of jet-packed bird-men.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate will hail from writer Tim Sheridan too. And if the name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s no stranger to Eternia, having worked on Masters of the Universe: Revolution. Joining him will be artist Will Sliney, colorist Israel Silva, and letterer AndWorld Design.
In the aftermath of Skeletor’s siege on Eternos, a down-and-out refugee gives sanctuary to a mysterious, injured falcon. Now, to save her life, he must embark upon a perilous journey through the Mystic Mountains and seek aid from the storied inhabitants of the realm of Avion.
