Nintendo fans will want to tune in tomorrow, for a special Partner Showcase Direct presentation. This one’ll be focused on third party titles.
Howdy Partner Showcase
It’s always a magical time when Nintendo launches into a Nintendo Direct. As fans of the company’s platform(s) know well, these online presentations focus typically on games. Though those tend to come in first party, third party, and Indie varieties.
Now the gaming giant has revealed its first such show of 2026, and it’ll be centered squarely on a “Partner Showcase“. You can likely fill in the blanks on that one yourself, but it shakes out to mean that Nintendo will shine the spotlight on those above-mentioned third party games. As to what’ll be shown or discussed though, that’s a little murkier.
Nintendo rarely hints at much ahead of showtime, other than the base topic. This time around is no different. There’s really nothing to relate in terms of content, other than the fact that the event will show off both Switch and Switch 2 games. We can guess however, and in the most general of supposing, we’d guess that titles releasing the rest of this winter, and into spring, will likely take the lions share of the 30 minute run time.
In with the lot could be the likes of 007: First Light, WWE 2K26, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage. And even though it’s landing this month, we’d say it’s likely that Resident Evil Requiem will be a presence as well. Again though, we’re just guessing. We won’t know what Nintendo has up its sleeve until tomorrow.
That’d be February the 5th, by the way. And you’ll be able to check out the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase then, when it goes live at 6am pacific time.
