More DC x Marvel on the way, with Superman and Spider-Man

Superman is about to meet up with the Web-Head once again. Fans will see a new pair of crossovers and more in 2026.

Superman meets Spider-Man

Longtime comics fans know that there’s a rich history of DC and Marvel crossovers. In fact, a team-up between Superman and Spider-Man has happened once before. Indeed, that event took place just about 50 years ago, well before even the 90s Amalgam era, which fused both superhero universes (temporarily) into one. And with that anniversary in mind, what better way to celebrate than with a new meeting of the icons?

Title Page — Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (January 2026)

That’s what’s on tap for 2026, as DC Comics and Marvel’s collaborations continue. As you likely know, the first of those in the modern age just hit stores, with Marvel’s Deadpool/Batman #1. A sequel to that is en route for November, published by DC, but it’s just the start of the inter-company fun.

Before it arrives, this month (October 2025) will bring a reprinting of Spider-Boy #1 to stores. That title was one of the more popular out of the aforementioned Amalgam releases. And while we don’t know if there’ll be more of that line’s books heading to stores, there will be more team-ups in general.

Before we get to those though, were are more reprintings coming as well. DC’s just announced the first of those, with the Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1.

A facsimile release, the Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1 will be a jumbo book, clocking in at a reported 10 1/8” x 13 5/16”. Quite a footprint. The issue will re-present the first meeting between “DC’s Man of Tomorrow and Marvel’s legendary Web-Slinger”.

Right on that title’s heels will be DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1. That release will be resurrect Marvel Treasury Edition #28, which DC says will be “bringing another classic out-of-print team-up back to comic book shops”.

Look for the former title to be out and on store shelves on January 7th, 2026. As for the latter, that’ll be along a little less than a month later, on February 4th.

While the reprints are great and all, and quite welcome since both comics are long out of print, they’re just half of what’s coming. And yes, that means there are new Superman/Spider-Man adventures that are speeding to comics shops as well.

This time, DC Comics will lead things off with Superman/Spider-Man #1 in March of 2026. Following suit with the Batman and Deadpool team-ups, that title will be followed by Spider-Man/Superman #1 in April. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of additional info about either potential blockbuster to share, though DC says there’ll be much more coming “soon”, including the announcement of the creative teams.

In the meantime, you can check out DC’s full statement about the new comics below.

These legacy reprints set the stage for two brand-new crossover comic books arriving in spring 2026. DC will publish Superman/Spider-Man #1 in March, followed by Marvel Comics publishing Spider-Man/Superman #1 in April. Each one-shot comic book will feature original stories starring two of the most iconic characters in comics history, with creative teams to be announced soon.

DC and Marvel’s crossover initiative continuing into 2026 is a celebration of comics’ enduring power. With record-breaking sales and a growing audience across generations, comic books are at the center of the cultural conversation. Comics have never been more vital, more visible, and more vibrantly alive. By bringing Superman and Spider-Man back together after 50 years for new stories with new writers and artists, DC and Marvel are honoring a shared legacy while inviting fans into a new era of collaboration, creativity, and character-driven storytelling.

Further details on creative teams, storylines, and variant covers for Superman/Spider-Man #1 and Spider-Man/Superman #1 will be revealed by DC and Marvel Comics in the coming months.
