Nintendo Download: Reach for the Stars!

Oh yeah, Super Mario Galaxy time. The two classics arrive for the Switch this week, along with FINAL FANTASY TACTICS and more.

A Super Mario Galaxy of fun (x 2)

It’s always a big week when there are new Super Mario games out there, and we think that goes for re-releases too. That’s just what’s on tap for this week too, as the Wii’s Super Mario Galaxy releases arrive for the Nintendo Switch/Switch 2.

While the base games included in this new double-pack are more or less the same as you might’ve played before, there are a few upgrades. Probably the biggest of the additions is an Assist Mode, though there are technical bumps too. Both games run in 1080p on the Switch and in 4k on the Switch 2, via a free update. That’s a first for the games on both of those counts.

Mario isn’t all that’s hitting in this Nintendo Download though, as FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is here as well. As the name implies, the turn-based strategy game re-presents the 90s original, though this one’s packing some serious upgrades. The game is now fully-voiced, and complete with updated graphics and “multiple gameplay improvements”.

Aside from the above, there’s also a heavy dose of indie releases to take a look at. Scroll down for those, and everything else that’s hitting this week.
