Nintendo Download: New Lands, New Worlds

Borderlands 4, Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, and EA SPORTS FC 26 hit pre-order, while Wizordum and that DK DLC land now.

After last week’s iffy showing, the Switch and Switch 2 come roaring back with a killer lineup of games… for pre-order. Not to worry though, as there are some notable titles out now as well. It’s just that Nintendo is mainly promoting what’s coming up in the next month. And yes, it’s a list that includes some massive names. So without further ado, let’s dig in.

The marquee title in the somewhat beefy pre-order lot has to be Borderlands 4. As mentioned, and as of today, fans looking for a little portable vault hunting can secure their digital copy of the game for the Switch 2. Borderlands 4 launches on October 3rd. Past Gearbox’ latest, pre-orders are also live for EA SPORTS FC 26 on both Switch and Switch 2, and Sonic Racing: Crossworlds hit’s P/O for the Switch.

So what’s actually new and buyable now then? Well there’s a new downloadable content pack for Donkey Kong Bananza. The DLC brings DK and Pauline to the big guy’s ancestral home for the first time too, which is kinda neat. Also, depending on whether or not you’ve finished the main game, it sounds like there’s a decent amount of stuff to do.

Also brand new this week, is Atari and Emberheart Games’ Wizordum. The first-person action title sends players on a dark fantasy quest, in the mold of classic 90s fantasy FPS’. That game leaps to Nintendo’s console from its original PC home on the 23rd.

• Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush – In this paid DLC² expansion to the Donkey Kong Bananza game on Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll barrel around with Donkey Kong and Pauline on DK Island – the home of some familiar faces. Once you’ve finished the main game’s story, Void Kong will offer you a position in Void Company collecting as much emerald ore as you can in Emerald Rush, both on DK Island and in Layers from the main game. In each run of this new mode, you’ll collect fossils to gain helpful Perks for different effects, and smash Banandium Gems to power up DK with different skills! Play this mode to unlock new fashions, collectable statues that can be displayed on DK Island and more. The Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC is available now!
