NYCC ’25: Demos, photo ops, and more coming up from Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco is gearing up for New York Comic Con. Fans will find some demos to play, and a slick sounding speakeasy to visit.

A speakeasy? At Comic Con?

New York Comic Con news is starting to break a little more now, as we’re heading to the show’s mid-October opening. Today brings a look at what Bandai Namco is preparing, and it’s surprisingly deep, with activations, a cool opportunity to snap some photos, and of course games. That’s where we’ll kick things off too, as the video game giant will be packing a quartet of games. And yes, all of them will be playable.

Fans can look for demo stations (presumably in the booth) with Digimon Story Time Stranger and Little Nightmares III, but that’s just the start. In addition, attendees can be the among the first to play Once Upon A KATAMARI and MY HERO ACADEMIA: All’s Justice. The latter is a 3D arena fighter based on the anime, while Once Upon A KATAMARI is the first new entry in that beloved series in 14 years.

That’s not all though, as there are a pair of real-world experiences on tap for the Con too. First up is a celebration for the upcoming CODE VEIN II, where fans will be able to hop onto the golden Motorcycle Forma and snap a few pics. If that’s not enough for you though, there’s also the Little Nightmares III speakeasy. Sounding like the biggest event from the company, fans will be able to visit an “experiential speakeasy.” What’s that exactly? Well, we’re not sure, but we do know that it will be bringing “a slice of the game’s haunting world to New York City”.
