Chips Ahoy! x Stranger Things’ cookies are in stores now, including that AR game

Launching earlier this month, Chips Ahoy! x Stranger Things is rolling into the Upside Down with cookies and prizes.

No fear, just chocolate and raspberry

Fans of Stranger Things are likely getting ready for the final sendoff for the show’s cast of characters and creatures, all of which will culminate in the final season. But while that’s set to arrive on Netflix this November 26th, there are some cookies out there right now.

Readers of BG know all about those, but if you don’t, well then you’re in for a treat. Landing in stores earlier this month, Chips Ahoy! x Stranger Things delivers a chewy chocolate cookie with raspberry filling. Well, that and maybe a chance to win some awesome Stranger Things prizes.

Said chance comes by way of an augmented reality game, which fans can find by scanning a code from those new cookies we mentioned. The experience, which does not require crossing dimensions (that we’re aware of) will send players into the Upside Down. There they’ll have to “rescue happiness”, by finding the lost Chips Ahoy! cookies.

It’s not all for just plain old fun either, as there’s that chance to win too. And while there’s an assortment of prizes like lunch boxes, hats, and tees, there’s also one grand prize sitting right at the top. That, as you might’ve guessed from the header image and that clip, is a replica of Eddie Munson’s guitar from Stranger Things season 4. How’s that for cool?
