SDCC ’25: MeTV’s horror host with the most, Svengoolie is hitting the con with his own spooky panel

What’s Comic Con without a little horror-tinged fun? Svengoolie and crew will be bringing just that, when their panel kicks off.

It’s like Halloween in July

Yes indeed, bringing a little October chill to the San Diego Comic Con this month will be Svengoolie himself, the horror host who regularly thrills and chills MeTV viewers. Genre fans should know the name well, as Svengoolie (otherwise known as Rich Koz) has been around for a long time, both in the Chicagoland area, and now a global talent.

If you’re a fan, and you’ll be going to SDCC this month, you might want to check out what Svengoolie and the Sven Squad will be bringing to the big show, via a panel presentation. Yes, the whole Squad will be present, including Sarah Palmer (Gwengoolie), Scott Gryder (IMP), and Bill Leff (Nostalgiaferatoo). They’ll also be joined by Svengoolie Executive Producer Jim Roche, and moderator Dan DiDio. Yes, that Dan DiDio.

The “past, present and future of TV horror hosting” will be discussed at the panel, and fans will also be able to take home some unique Sven-goodies. Those will come in the form of a trading card set and a limited edition button.

If you’d like to attend, the panel will be found in the San Diego Convention Center’s Ballroom 7AB. Show-goers can look for the event to kick off on Saturday, July 26th, starting at 7:30pm (pacific time) and ending at 8:30pm.

This summer Svengoolie is excited to showcase some new movies to the Svengoolie library, including Earth Girls Are Easy which makes its MeTV debut on Saturday, July 26 at 8pm ET/PT, with the Sven Squad also taking over Svengoolie’s dungeon for the night to serve as official hosts. Attendees will get a SDCC exclusive Svengoolie and Sven Squad collectible trading card set and a limited edition Svengoolie button!
