Dark Horse, 2K, and Gearbox are teaming up for The Art of Borderlands 4, landing in stores somewhere close to the game it’s based on.
Make a run for the border
Okay, so this week hasn’t been the kindest to Gearbox’ next big game, Borderlands 4. But internet drama aside, the game is set to continue the iconic looter/shooter series this year, and so far it’s looking pretty great. The game won’t be alone when it lands at retail this fall though, as there’s going to be an art book for fans to pick up too. That comes by way of Dark Horse (natch’), which will be bringing the Borderlands faithful The Art of Borderlands 4.

From writer Rick Barba, who’s also created The Art of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and The Worlds of Borderlands, the upcoming tome will clock in at 224 pages and be presented in hardcover format. Inside its pages, fans will find a deep dive into just about every element from the game.
In Borderlands 4, 2K and Gearbox Software’s next entry in the iconic looter shooter franchise, the cataclysmic arrival of Pandora’s moon throws the planet Kairos into chaos, and only the Vault Hunters and their allies will be able to stop the oppressive Timekeeper. The Art of Borderlands 4 takes a deep dive into the making of the game, with art showcasing how character designs, enemies, environments, and of course, guns were conceptualized and ultimately brought to life.
Dark Horse press release
Look for The Art of Borderlands 4 to hit bookstores on September 30th, and comics shops on October 1st. That’s just a few weeks after Borderlands 4 itself is so-far scheduled to arrive, on September 12th, so it should be a big month for Vault Hunters.
