Batman Begins’ Scarecrow coming from Hot Toys

Back with another great looking ‘movie’ collector figure is Hot Toys, with the just revealed Scarecrow from Batman Begins.

One of the coolest parts of the now-classic superhero film Batman Begins, actor Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of Arkham Asylum doc Jonathan Crane. Not only was it great to see Scarecrow on screen for the first time ever, but Murphy did a killer job bringing him to life. And while we’d see Crane again in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, that original portrayal was the biggest standout.

Hot Toys is picking up that thread too, by adding the villain to its Batman Begins lineup. Just revealed by retailer Sideshow, Hot Toys’ take on Scarecrow will appear with a full slate of accessories that include multiple head sculpts (two masked), “fear toxin” sprayer, and a base that’s modeled to look like the Gotham sewers.

Scarecrow is expected to ship some time between April and September of 2026, and is up for pre-order now, via Sideshow. He’s priced in at $280 USD.

Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins (2005) saw the Dark Knight battling both psychological and physical threats to Gotham. Dr. Jonathan Crane, a former psychiatrist, becomes The Scarecrow™, wielding a fear-inducing toxin that plunges his victims into their worst nightmares. With his spine-chilling mask and a twisted sense of justice, he becomes an embodiment of the terror that plagues the city.

Drawing inspiration from the on-screen appearance of Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow in Batman Begins, this new Scarecrow 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure features a specially hand-painted Jonathan Crane headsculpt with an astonishingly accurate facial expression and skin texture. It also includes two interchangeable masked heads, portraying The Scarecrow’s burlap sack mask. All three portraits are equipped with Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeballs system, allowing collectors to adjust the character’s gaze, adding further nuance and realism to posing and displays.  

The Scarecrow Collectible Figure is outfitted with a custom-tailored suit and tie, and comes with a wealth of screen-accurate accessories including Crane’s fear toxin sprayers, suitcase, lighter, flashlight, and more.

Additional swap-out accessories include nine interchangeable gesturing hands, attachable smoke effects, and a city sewer diorama base, enabling fans to recreate moments from this classic movie and add haunting new aspects to their DC display!
