Originally slated to launch last year, Dark Horse Comics’ next installment of the Assassin’s Creed saga is coming in March 2025.
Time to fly
We first told you about Assassin’s Creed Mirage: A Soar of Eagles last spring. The title, coming up from Dark Horse Comics, brings the world of the game series to comics once again, spinning off of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the video game.
From writer Michael Avon Oeming and artist Mirko Colak, the mini-series is not an adaptation, but a wholly new adventure. Essentially a prequel, the story centers on a younger Fuladh, as he returns to his homeland amidst a chaotic time.
Years before the events of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a young Fuladh must return to his homeland to investigate political unrest that could point to a secret Order of the Ancients stronghold. But in order to discover what’s behind the chaos and violence in Adulis, Fuladh, and Roshan will have to confront a more immediate danger.
Dark Horse Comics press release
If you remember that teaser above, then you might’ve read our previous coverage of the book. Originally its debut issue was set to hit retail in November of 2024, but that didn’t quite happen.
While the book has been in stasis since, it’s finally been re-dated by the publisher, and is now heading to shops in March. Fans can look for Assassin’s Creed Mirage: A Soar of Eagles #1 (of 3) on the racks this March the 12th.
That’s going to make March a packed month for fans of the property. The newest video game installment, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, launches for consoles and the PC just a bit afterwards. Fans can look for that on March 20th.
