The Batman: Arkham Knight version of DC Comics’ Batgirl is back thanks to Hot Toys, but this time in her classic TV colors.
The last game in the “Batman: Arkham” series from Warner Bros and Rocksteady, Batman: Arkham Knight did a lot of things right. And although we didn’t really care for the ending, it served up an expansive Gotham City to play in, a Batmobile to roll around in, and plenty of guest stars and cameos. One of those, naturally, was Batgirl.
As with the rest of the caste too, Barbara Gordon’s costumed identity got a redesign that brought her more in line with the title’s aesthetic. While her bat-suit was more armored in appearance than usual, it also featured a striking black and gold color palette. That wasn’t always the case with the heroine as went other media of course.
We’ve seen Batgirl in a variety of motifs over the decades, including her gray suit from Batman: The Animated Series. But even with all of that, it might be the iconic 1960’s television version of Batman that is her most iconic. That’s where Batgirl debuted after all, so it only makes sense.
