Hot Toys’ Back to the Future: Part III Delorean is almost here, and Sideshow has a full unboxing

Not quite as popular as the first two installments of the classic film series’, the capper is nonetheless still a gem. Back to the Future: Part III picked up right from the end of Part II, and brought Doc and Marty to the Wild West, where they met outlaws aplenty, Marty’s own ancestors, and faced down a massive challenge. That, of course, was that they had to figure out a way to get the DeLorean time machine… Back to the Future. And as fans can tell you, that feat eventually came by way of a railroad and a whole lot of western-era innovation.

Maker of a bunch of Back to the Future stuff already, Hot Toys is finally set to bring that version of the DeLorean to life. Fans will be able to add the sixth scale vehicle to their own collections some time in the first half of this year, and Sideshow has unveiled one of its famous deep-dives to grant an early look.

Measuring over 28 inches long, the DeLorean Time Machine 1/6 Scale Collectible Vehicle expertly replicates every intricate detail of this iconic vehicle, and pays loving homage to a true Hollywood classic. 

This impressive 1/6 scale collectible features functional gull-wing doors as well as multiple LED light-up components on both the exterior design and the interior controls. Adjustable wheels allow the modified DeLorean to be displayed with a rail wheels configuration for travel along train tracks or to be transformed into an off-road vehicle for traversing the uneven open terrain of the Wild West. 

The DeLorean Time Machine 1/6 Scale Collectible Vehicle captures every detail of Doc Brown’s improvised technological wizardry as he modifies the DeLorean to function with 1880s components. From a 1/6 scale replica of the hood-mounted box frame (containing the vacuum tube assemblage Doc Brown devised to help stabilize the damaged time circuits) to the miniature Mr. Fusion energy reactor, the time machine engine deck, and even the tiny cabin controls, this DeLorean is ready for action.

Additional accessories include 1/6 scale replicas of the firebox temperature device, an alarm clock, and a tow bar, allowing collectors to change up their display to recreate several memorable scenes from this beloved film.
