The next installment of the Nacelleverse is almost here from Oni Press, bringing the legendary Power Lords back to life.
Power up
It’s been a while since fans have seen Power Lords, which originally hit stores in 1983, by way of an action figure line from Revell. Power Lords brought an interstellar story to life, filled with alien overlords, cosmic power, and a hero who could transform into the super-heroic powerhouse known as Lord Power.
The toys were innovative, since some of them could be flipped back-to-front to change them into their alternate forms. Be that as it may though, they didn’t get very far. The line ended quickly, and a mini-series from DC Comics was a one and done. Since then we’ve seen one attempted rebirth for the brand, but though that didn’t go anywhere either, Adam Power’s time might finally be here.
That’s because of The Nacelle Company, with its shared-universe, dubbed the Nacelleverse. The new initiative has so far brought Biker Mice from Mars, Robo Force, and Sectaurs forth from the mists of history, and it’s about to add the aforementioned space-borne property to its ranks. As with the other parts of the Nacelleverse, that’ll happen first by way of a new four-issue series from Oni Press.
