So yes, first of all and before we get into anything else, Stumble Guys sounds an awful lot like Fall Guys. And by “an awful lot”, we mean it looks pretty darn close. Still, if you’re going to pattern yourself after a popular game, that’s a great choice, and there does seem to be some differences with Stumble Guys serving up some varied action for genre (?) fans. If that’s not cutting it for you though, there are a few other options.

Sam & Max: The complete Trilogy also clocks in on Nintendo’s console this week, including a monster sixteen episodes of play. Those are spread out across the first three ‘seasons’ of the formerly Telltale Games title, bringing the cartoony duo’s misadventures back to life for a whole new generation of fans.

For one thing, there’s the second episode of the demo for Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club. For those who haven’t been paying attention, that’s no typo above, as Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club‘s demo is indeed being served to fans by way of episodes. Kind of neat actually, and the gimmick certainly stretches out the gameplay for those eagerly awaiting the title.

While it’s not a demo, the pre-order listing for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is also live this week, giving fans the chance to secure their digital copy of the strategy game. And before you ask, yes there’s a reason to pre-order, since doing so will nab you some bonuses (find ’em below).

This scene is much like the victims of Emio, the Smiling Man—a killer of urban legend who is said to grant his victims “a smile that will last forever.” Play as an assistant private investigator from the Utsugi Detective Agency tasked with helping the police uncover the truth behind this heinous crime, which is reminiscent of a series of unsolved murders from 18 years ago. Begin your investigation in Chapter 1 of the demo and resume when Chapter 2 launches later today on Nintendo eShop, followed by Chapter 3 on the evening of Aug. 27. Don’t worry about losing your case notes – players can carry their progress forward to the full version of the game if purchased. Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club launches on Aug. 29.
