Prime Gaming serves up big names for August, with Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, and Trek to Yomi

Arriving a little late, but welcome nonetheless, is Prime Gaming’s very solid list of free PC titles for subscribers in August.

Pretty good stuff

Amazon’s Prime Gaming service usually serves up a nice list of free PC titles for subscribers to grab, and this month’s no exception. August is kind of a standout actually, with some big names included, though some are definitely in the ‘classics’ arena.

Still, if you don’t have ’em, the likes of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness are still worth playing. If you’re looking for something newer to play though, we can absolutely recommend Trek to Yomi, which we found to be a ridiculously cool journey though feudal Japan. We reviewed it here.

Here’s the full list of what you can grab this month, complete with dates and platforms:

• August 29 INDUSTRIA [GOG Code] – On the evening of the fall of the Berlin wall, a young woman plunges headlong into a parallel dimension to find her missing work colleague who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. • August 29 The Collage Atlas [Amazon Games App] – Journey through an entirely hand-drawn picture-book dream-world where every little detail has been lovingly-crafted with pen & ink on paper.

Luna rising

Along with the above, which are games that subscribers can keep, there’s also the Luna drop for the month. If you’re not in the know, Luna is Amazon’s streaming platform, which delivers a series of play-all-you-want titles every month. Subscribers can then play those games as much as they like, before they’re replaced by the following month’s offerings.

Luna has been on a real roll too, with some high-quality games, and some Fallout games that were stretched out across several months. This month sees things get back to normal, but that’s not all that big of a bummer, since it brings in Batman: Arkham Knight, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, Wonder Boy, and more.
