Fresh from an appearance at rival DC, Godzilla has set his sight on Marvel for a collection of new variant covers.
King of the Monsters
It’s been a heck of a few years for Godzilla. Not only have we seen a massively popular Hollywood shared universe crop up around the famed kaiju, but there’ve been critically acclaimed one-off films as well, plus multiple collectibles and comics. We actually just saw the big guy make his way to DC Comics too, complete with Kong in tow, for action with the Justice League. But if you thought he was done with the printed page, well think again.
While we’re not getting stories (yet), Marvel Comics has revealed that Godzilla will be coming to the publishers line for a special series of variant covers. This isn’t just the ‘modern’ ‘Zilla in battle scenes with Marvel’s heroes and villains either. The push has a cool twist to it, delivering more or less the full history of the character, seen in all his various incarnations (sans one very obvious omission).
So if you have a fave Godzilla, you’re likely to find a cover with him on it.
