Marvel’s new X-Force book will hunt the world’s biggest threats, unleashes variant-onslaught

With a new X-Force team rising under the leadership of Forge, Marvel’s X-Force is going to have a full roster of variant covers.

From the ashes, a new strike team

Keeping the classic theme of X-Force, Marvel Comics is launching a whole new adventure this summer. Landing in July, X-Force will have a new roster from what we’ve seen in recent years, headed up by longtime X-Men member and ally Forge.

The mutant inventor will be joined by some familiar faces too, as well as fresh ones. Fans can look for Rachel Summers, Betsy Braddock, Sage, Surge, and the massive Tank to act as a black ops strike team, launching into action against massive threats on a global level.

Screenwriter Geoffrey Thorne and X-Men artist Marcus To will be handling the creative duties on the title, with a monster lineup of covers planned for issue #1. That will be launching into stores next month, on July 31st, with all of the below (plus a virgin variant of Clayton Crain’s cover) landing on the racks for day one.

X-FORCE #1’s covers include exciting images of the team by industry superstars like Stephen Segovia, Tony Daniel, Skottie Young, and Mahmud Asrar, along with the first of a series of character spotlight covers by iconic X-Force artist Clayton Crain. And like many of Marvel’s major launches, X-FORCE #1 will shine on stands with a Foil Variant Cover! Featuring the first issue’s guest-star, Deadpool, this Foil Cover is drawn by best-selling cover artist David Yakanama. The Merc with a mouth is also featured on a special Marvel’s Stormbreakers Variant Cover by Chris Allen. A Logo Variant Cover is also available.

Marvel Comics press release

Ready for action? X-Force #1 kicks off a whole new era for the team on July 31st, 2024.
