Prime Gaming’s January ’24 includes Atari freebies, plus a notable new Luna rotation

There are some pretty cool PC titles included in this month’s Prime Gaming, though Luna’s latest might overshadow them just a tad.

Free is free

Yes, “free is free”, so try not to complain too much about this month’s Prime Gaming slate. Subscribers to the service are in for a quartet of freebies for the PC, that includes both Atari Mania and Yars: Recharged. On top of those, there’s also Endling – Extinction is Forever, and the bee-keeping sim Apico.

The first of those that’ll be available however is Endling, with the remainder following Amazon’s newer ‘staged’ release system. So with that in mind, each of the above will arrive on a Thursday, with all four landing and ready to claim before the month is out.

It’s a calendar that looks a little something like this:

  • January 4 Endling – Extinction is Forever [Amazon Games App] – Experience a world ravaged by mankind through the eyes of the last fox on Earth in this eco-conscious BAFTA award-winning eco-conscious adventure.
  • January 11 Apico [Amazon Games App] – Set in a series of lush environments, players can breed, collect and conserve bees in this laid-back beekeeping sim game.
  • January 18 Atari Mania [Epic Games Store] – Journey through this minigame collection wrapped in a humorous retro-driven narrative of exploration and surprise.
  • January 25 Yars: Recharged [Epic Games Store] – Destroy enemy homeworld defenses in this bullet-dodging, boss-rush revival of the classic 1982 Atari title.

And about that Luna collection…

Of course Luna will have its usual selection of games coming up as well, all of which will be streamable throughout the month. While you can’t ‘claim’ copies to keep, subscribers can play to their heart’s content as long as January remains the month in question.

Unlike with Prime Gaming too, all of the Luna stuff is out right now and ready to go. So if you see something that you want to play, go right ahead and fire it up. We have a feeling you might want to too, since full-games include the excellent Control, plus Wonderboy and Young Souls.

Not that that’s it either, as there are a few more games offering unlimited access this month tacked on. LEGO Fortnite anyone?

Available now, Prime members will have full access to a new slate of popular games as part of Amazon Luna’s Prime Gaming offer, including Control Ultimate EditionKitaria FablesWonderboy: The Dragon Trap and Young Souls. Players will also have full access to FortniteLEGO FortniteRocket RacingFortnite Festival and Trackmania. Stay tuned in the coming months for additional Prime Gaming offerings via Amazon Luna!
