The Witcher returns to the pages of Dark Horse Comics for “Wild Animals”

Comics fans will soon have a brand new adventure to read, starring CD Projekt Red’s version of Geralt. He returns this fall in The Witcher: Wild Animals.

It’s wild!

As a ‘property’ in general, The Witcher still wields a mighty name even outside of the self-titled video game series. Though another game is a ways off at this point, Geralt is a mainstay in the world of TV (cough) and of course comics.

And while you might be able to say a few things about the show, the Dark Horse books have been pretty steady in terms of the action and supernatural adventure they deliver. If you’re a fan, then you’ll be happy to know that the line of mini-series’ isn’t stopping any time soon, and will continue with The Witcher: Wild Animals.

The new mini will be penned by The Witcher: Fading Memories and Cyberpunk 2077: You Have My Word’s Bartosz Sztybor, and receive interiors from Nataliia Rerekina. Rerekina is a relative newcomer to the comics world, but is already the Silver Award-winner in the “Japan-International Manga Award”.

Here’s a look at what the duo are cooking up:

Fan-favorite witcher Geralt is no stranger to jobs gone wrong, but washing ashore on a strange new land forces him into a conflict between the hunters who took him in and a mysterious clan known to kill humans. Where man and creatures coexist, there is an unspoken rule—one where the skills of a witcher go beyond killing monsters.

Dark Horse Comics press release

Geralt returns this September the 20th, with The Witcher: Wild Animals #1 (of 4).
