SDCC 22: Rob Liefeld set to make the rounds with signings, and a live episode of Robservations

A legend from 90s Marvel and Image Comics, Rob Liefeld is doing anything but slowing down. And he’s going to be all over SDCC this week.

Not Lie-ing down on the job

Is it still en vogue to poke fun at Rob Liefeld? For some reason, it had become the ‘popular’ thing for modern comics fans to do, even though the writer and artist had created (or had a hand in creating) some of the biggest characters of the current era. And if you think that interest in those creations is slowing down, you’d best think again.

His recent Deadpool: Bad Blood graphic novel was a #1 book for Marvel Comics, and he has a followup on the way. Deadpool: Badder Blood will be at Comic Con this week as well, and is just one part of Liefeld’s SDCC return.

He’ll be at the Marvel booth, #2329 on the show floor, on Thursday July 21st for an autograph session. That signing kicks off at 5pm pacific time, and he’ll be penning his name across a special SDCC print of Badder Blood. The prints will only be available at this specific signing, and only til supplies run dry.

After that, it’s off to a special panel to celebrate Image’s 30th anniversary. Liefeld will be recording a live episode of his podcast ROBSERVATIONS with Rob Liefeld as a part of the panel (room 7AB). That starts at 11am and is expected to run an hour. Fans who attend that will get the special variant of Prophet #1 that you see above.

And finally, Liefeld will be heading to the HOTFLIPS boot (#5569). That’ll be a signing as well, though the times haven’t been revealed yet. Fans are urged to “social media for signing times”, plus check out RobLiefeldCreations.com for special “VIP packs with exclusive comics”.
