A Marvel Legends onslaught hits pre-order, with Toad, 60th Spider-Man and more

If you caught Hasbro’s Marvel Legends presentation yesterday, then you know all about the massive amount of figures that’ve just hit pre-order.

Long awaited

Who would think that a character like Toad would be one of the most hotly anticipated Marvel Legends action figures of all time? It’s kind of tough to say that the diminutive villain isn’t just that though, given his figure-history.

Toad was in the very first Marvel Legends assortment. It was a choice that puzzled many fans at the time, since he’s not exactly the biggest of characters. And as the only villain in a wave that included Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk, he was pretty clearly the odd-mutant-out.

Here’s the thing though; he never reappeared. And that’s true if you’re talking about the Toy Biz or Hasbro versions of the ML series. Kind of strange honestly, for a line that’s given fans tons of niche heroes and villains. Either way though, the drought is over and fans can finally complete their Brotherhood lineup this year, with a brand new Toad.

That’s not all though, as Hasbro also revealed a new Spider-Man collection. It’s kicking off with a bang too, with comic-versions of the Iron Spider and Future Foundation costumes, a 2 pack with Spidey and Spinerette, and a fantastic retro ‘Amazing Fantasy 15’-inspired Spider-Man.

Unfortunately that AF15 figure won’t have throwback packaging like Toad. Kind of a bummer there. Instead, the Hasbro’s new boxes are on display, meaning no plastic.

Want more? How about MCU versions of Peter Parker and Ned Leeds? Or maybe a Knull and winged-Venom 2 pack? All of the above are up and ready for pre-order right now.

You can grab them via Hasbro Pulse, or pretty much any online toy shop. That includes from our sponsors at Entertainment Earth, which you can find right here.
