There’s a new Nick Fury-centric Secret Invasion coming, but before Marvel Comics gets to that, there are some covert covers to talk about.

It’s a secret… again

If you didn’t know, there’s another Secret Invasion coming to the pages of Marvel Comics. And no, this isn’t ‘Secret Invasion II’ or anything, it’s just called “Secret Invasion”, the same as the 2008 series.

That new mini will come from the team of writer Ryan North and artist Francesco Mobili, and will focus on Nick Fury and Maria Hill. It doesn’t seem like this new SI will be anywhere as big as the last one though, with no crossover issues discussed (so far). Well, kind of anyway.

While there doesn’t seem to be any story-related comics crossing over with Secret Invasion, there will be a slate of variant covers. These will be the of the usual Marvel sort, meaning that they’ll be Skrull covers only. Don’t expect to see anything relating to Skrulls in the stories inside.

Still, there are set to be a bunch of these, so if you’re a Skrull fan, make sure you check out the checklist below. The camouflage-alien variant action kicks off in May.
