Dotemu and Tribute Games’ upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles side-scrolling beat ’em up is on the way to throw down on Nintendo’s Switch.
Switching things up
When you think about it, this was probably a foregone conclusion, but news is news. And that said, it’s definitely news that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is coming to the Switch.
The retro-crafted, side-scrolling beat ’em up from Dotemu and Tribute is looking in fine form too, as it makes its way through development. If you don’t know what all the hubbub is about surrounding it though, it’s pretty simple – Shredder’s Revenge is a TMNT game made in the same mold as the 90s arcade classics.
Check out the latest trailer to get a taste of what’s on the way:
nspired by the Turtles’ iconic 1987 design, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge brings New York City’s most righteous ninjas to life with gorgeous pixel art that’d look right at home in your favorite retro arcade. From showdowns with infamous rivals like Bebop and Rocksteady to returns to signature locales like Dimension X, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a bodacious celebration of classic TMNT beat-em-ups with its own modern touches.
Dotemu
As you can see, this one is loaded with little touches that harken back to classics like Turtles in Time and the original Arcade Game. If it plays as well as it looks, I’d say it’s a lock to be the best TMNT title in a good long time.
And following up on the previous info that the game would be coming to the PC, you can add the Switch to the list of platforms that’ll be hosting the game. So when can you actually play it? Well, that’s a little more of a mystery. There’s been no announcement on that front yet, but we’ll let you know when it’s official.
