The world of Dungeons & Dragons is set to make a grand return to the world of action RPGs with Dark Alliance. Check out the first gameplay.
Across the frozen wastes
If you’re like most D&D fans, then there are likely few tales that are held in as high regard as those from author R.A. Salvatore. Taking place mainly on the ice-encrusted tundra of Icewind Dale, that’s exactly where the newest game to take advantage of the license will be heading.
Starring Salvatore’s characters Drizzt Do’Urden, Cattie-Brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar, Dark Alliance takes the familiar form of an action RPG. And yes, there’ll be multiplayer co-op, so you and your buddies can adventure through the D&D world together.
If the name sounds familiar by the way, it’s probably because there was a Baldur’s Gate game that previously used the name. It doesn’t seem like there’s a connection to that precursor, but much like that game this new Dark alliance is looking sharp.
It might be a hack and slash you’re going to want to keep an eye on.
Ready to forge you away into the Dale? Then you’ll want to mark off June 22nd on your calendar. That’s when Dark Alliance lands on consoles and the PC.
