Deathloop debuts new gameplay footage and “Deja Vu” theme song

Those hankering for a little more of Bethesda’s delayed PS5-exclusive Deathloop should be pleased with this week’s fresh look (and tunes).

All caught up

Delayed from the PS5’s launch into 2021, Bethesda and Arkane Lyon’s Deathloop continues to be a FPS worth keeping an eye on. The game stars an assassin named Colt, who’s trapped in a time-loop.

It’s one that is keeping him locked away on an island called Blackreef. And as luck would have it, that’s a place occupied by some very not-so-nice people.

In this week’s new look at the game in action, you’ll get a peek at Colt taking the fight to “Ramblin’ Frank Spicer and his crew”. Spicer is set on keeping his own time-loop alive, which of course is a problem for Colt.

Also in this new trailer is a bit of new audio. Namely, it’s the brand new theme song for the game, one that Bethesda says is “a classic 1960’s spy film-inspired tune with the peculiar themes of Blackreef island”. It’s from Sencit Music featuring musical artist FJØRA, so there’s a bit of a pedigree to it as well.

Check it all out in action:

There’s no official release date set as of yet for Deathloop, though it will be a PS5 console-exclusive (so you can expect it for PC as well).
