GOG Winter Sale comes to a close with more deals, new freebie

It’s the end of the line for GOG’s Winter Sale, 2019 edition. So what can you expect? More deals and a free copy of the cool looking Tower of Time.

Winter is on the move

As sales go for PC gamers, GOG’s are highlights. Second only (maybe) to Steam’s hearty sale slate, GOG knows how to hold a quality event. the retailer usually offers tons of discounts, including package deals. And then there are the freebies.

GOG often offers free titles to add to your collection during sales. These might not be the biggest and most impactful of games, but they’re free. Are you really going to complain about ’em?

In the case of the last freebie of 2019 though, it looks like a gem. I’m not familiar with Tower of Time, but the game features a reported 50 hours of real-time combat in a tactical RPG setting.

All that and it looks great too.

Tower of Time is just the icing on the cake. The sale itself is a very good one indeed, with tons of great titles and collections on discount. That includes the Witcher Universe set, which gets you “all five Witcher games for only 26.99 USD”.

Some additional highlights:

  • Disco Elysium (-20%)
  • Cuphead (-30%)
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (-50%)
  • Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition (-70%)
  • Blade Runner (-10%)

With “over 2500” deals to be had on PC games, you should be able to find something cool that you haven’t played yet, or a long-time fave that you’ve forgotten all about. Just make your picks fast, since the 2019 Winter Sale wraps up for good on January 2nd, 2020, at 2 PM UTC.

Just a FYI too, though the sale ends on the 2nd, the discount on The Witcher Universe Collection will run until January 5th, 2020, at 2 PM UTC. So you get a bit more time there if you’re looking to buy in while you’re watching the new TV show.
