Part 2 of Team Sonic Racing Overdrive debuts

Sega’s latest animated short, from Tyson Hesse and Neko Productions, debuts with Sonic and crew taking on Team Sonic Racing’s baddies.

If you missed it, Sega has been making animated short videos for a while now. They did a few for the re-release of Sonic Mania, and now they’re working on bringing the yet to be released Team Sonic Racing to life.

The shorts are 2 videos deep so far, and showcase a race between Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and a bunch of assorted Sonic universe baddies. That includes Shadow, who doesn’t seem to be very nice to anyone.

Coming up soon from Sumo Digital, Team Sonic Racing shakes up Sega’s karting series. As you might’ve gathered, this time around there’s a definite focus on teamwork. As such, you bet there’s a full selection of co-op play. That means online and off, with “dynamic team mechanics and vehicle customization features”.

As I mentioned too, it’s almost here. Team Sonic Racing is set to head to the starting line on May 21st. Expect to see it rev up for the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
