Coming up: The games of April 2019

A few major launches mark March 2019, including Mortal Kombat 11, Cupped on Switch, and one of the PS4’s big 2019 exclusives – Days Gone.

Mortal Days

There are a pair of major releases this month. Depending on the final products, these could even be contenders for GotY honors come year’s end. Head and shoulders above everything else are Mortal Kombat 11 and Days Gone.

MK11 should need no introduction. But just in case, it’s the 11th numbered entry in NetherRealm’s long running series of fighting games. It also might be the most bloody Mortal Kombat yet. But what I’m most excited about with it is that it reaches back into the franchise’s history to produce a game that includes legacy versions of MK’s heroes and villains. That’s some cool stuff.

Days Gone on the other hand is another zombie game. It’s a gorgeous and somewhat innovative zombie game, since it takes place in wooded surroundings with zombie bears to worry about too, but still… It’s up to you whether or not you’re into another total where you’re fighting hordes of the undead.

And if you’re not into either of those? Well, there are plenty of other releases this month for you to check out.
