Devil May Cry V gets bloody with upcoming free DLC

The Bloody Palace is coming to Capcom’s Devil May Cry V. The fresh mode allows play as any of the game’s heroes, and is 100% free of charge.

Bloody good time

If you have picked up a copy of Devil May Cry V, then you already know it’s a pretty great time. We just published our first impressions of it, and we think it might be an early GotY contender. And of course it’s getting some DLC, but here’s the twist – it’s free.

A free download, the Bloody Palace is the first bit of downloadable content for DmCV, and serves as a survival mode. You’ll be able to play as Nero, Dante, or V, as “hordes of increasingly difficult enemies and bosses” rail against you.

The baddies will assault you in different levels, all while a timer ticks away. So you’re not only battling against them, but also time. Oh, and as with the main game, style counts. It wouldn’t be Devil May Cry without that.

The new mode will land on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 1st. Yes, we realize what day that it, and no, this isn’t a joke. The Bloody Palace will be free to download and play.
