LEGO titles based on DC Supervillains and The Incredibles 2 might be on the way

Traveller’s Tales’ LEGO line might be set to continue in a very big way in 2018. Games based on The Incredibles 2 and DC Supervillains could be inbound.

LEGO heroes… and villains

So this is kind of interesting. Not that the LEGO video games are rolling on. That’s not all that shocking, since it’s a line that’s seemingly unending. Even with some fans getting bored of the building block-themed games, Warner Bros and developer Traveller’s Tales have continued to publish them – and had plenty of success with them apparently.

Not that I really know the sales numbers, but they kind of have to be successful if this news is accurate. That’s because there are (apparently) two new LEGO games inbound this year. And (and this bit is kind of surprising) they both sound very interesting indeed.

So what are they? Well I guess you missed the headline, because they’re The Incredibles 2 and LEGO DC Supervillains. As LEGO games go, those are both really intriguing.

For starters, The Incredibles 2 would not only tie into one of the biggest movies of the year (you know it will be), but it’ll also be the very first LEGO game based on a Pixar property. That’s kind of a big deal, and could pave the way for more in the future. According to ComicBook.com too, it could include content from the original 2004 movie as well as the upcoming sequel. Pretty awesome.

As for DC Supervillains, there’s zero info on that being reported, other than the title. And that might not even be accurate. I’m not exactly sure how this one gets pulled off either. I don’t really think there are all that many fans out there who’d want to play as a villain against their favorite heroes. Who knows though.

Stay tuned, because there might be a lot more on both titles coming up soon. ComicBook is also reporting that the Incredibles game could hit alongside the movie, which’d mean it’d be arriving this June.
