The South by Southwest festival will be the scene of the unveiling of the very first details on Telltale Games’ upcoming Batman game.
There’s plenty cause to get excited for this one already, but you’ll have more than a bit of rumor and a teaser trailer come the 18th of this month. That’s all thanks to the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
Telltale will be holding a special conversation at the SXSW Gaming Expo, which is free to attend by the way. Greg Miller will be interviewing the team from the developer, as they “dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”
If you’re heading to the show,, you can catch this presentation on Friday the 18th of March, starting at 4:30pm central time (ending at 5:15pm) in ballroom C of the Austin Convention Center at 531 E 4th street in Austin (of course). If however, you’re not going to be there, you can still see the show thanks to the SXSw Twitch channel, which you can check out (and bookmark for later) here.
In the meantime, Bat-fans can also check out Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner’s interview with Kotaku, and it’s probably viewing worth watching. Telltale doing a superhero game is big enough, but them doing a Batman game that Bruner calls “not like any other Batman game out there”, should be more than enough to get gamers and comic fans alike excited.
