NACON brings its high-end Revolution X Unlimited controller to Xbox and PC today

If you’re looking for a new controller and want some serious bells and whistles, you might want to check out the Revolution X Unlimited.

Walk this way, to a new controller

Dubbed the Revolution X Unlimited, or RXU for short, NACON’s newest controller is looking pretty darn loaded. The company’s engineers have reportedly packed ten years of “expertise and R&D” into this little guy, and yeah, that kinda adds up.

The pad, which is exclusive to the Xbox and PC, includes Hall Effect sensors for its sticks, Omron micro-switches that seek to deliver more responsive controls, and a battery life of ten hours. That’s not all though, as the RXU also stocks an onboard LCD screen.

A first from NACON, the RXU uses the screen to provide quick access to audio and gameplay presets, plus houses a whole suite of information. Players will find it serves up “game mode, active profile, battery level, connection type (Radio Frequency, Bluetooth, or Dual Wireless), and much more.” Want more? Well, that’s good, because the RXU has plenty.

According to NACON, the controller also has a PC app that’ll allow users to play around with creating profiles, and even offers specific play modes for the PC (PC Mode) and FPS’ (Shooter Pro Mode).

A dedicated application allows players to optimize this customization further and set up several game profiles, or to use the software’s predefined profiles and activate different game modes to boost performance:
• PC mode (exclusive to this platform): reduces latency to just 1 millisecond in wired mode, letting gamers assign keyboard keys to shortcut buttons, or activate the gyroscope function.
• The Shooter Pro Mode: eliminates joystick deadzone for greater responsiveness, precision, and performance in shooting games.
