There’s about to be a manhunt, and the quarry is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe, Charles Xavier.
Breaking free
It’s been a rough period of time for Charles Xavier, the founder of Marvel Comics’ X-Men. A hero for ages, Professor X (as he’s called) turned rogue within the Krakoan era, and has been a prisoner at his former school ever since the mutant nation fell apart.
Things are about to go from bad to worse for him too, as a telepathic virus has infected his mind, and he’s becoming a danger to all around him. His solution? Break out and on the run. The only thing is, he’s going to need his X-Men for this new mission, and some of them might not be too happy to lend a hand.
In a nutshell, that’s the synopsis for X-Manhunt, a fresh crossover that will see the combination of the current X-teams for the first time. It won’t be a long running event either, as the whole things is scheduled to start and wrap up in a month’s time.
The tale will run through the whole slate of X-titles, beginning in the pages of Uncanny X-Men #11 on March 5th, before culminating in a special issue on March 26th, entitled X-Manhunt Omega.
