In Early Access right now for the PC, Black One Blood Brothers just got a fresh update with maps, a campaign editor, and more.
Back in black
From Helios Studios, Black One Blood Brothers seems like a kind of callback to tactical shooters of years ago. The title sets players in command of the titular team, as Black One dives headlong into dangerous, high-risk missions across the planet.
Don’t look for mindless action though, as the developer has set the game up for strategic play and plenty of it. Players will need to coordinate team members with precision, using the Battle Plan system or issuing Quick Orders in real-time. While it’s been available for a while via Steam’s Early Access program, it’s just gotten a fresh update with a good chunk of new content.
Supplementing the game’s existing 20 maps are a pair of new ones, with New World Stronghold and Carrier Deck. Also included are multiple “improvements and optimizations”, “an enhanced version of the UAV”, and “a brand-new campaign editor”, according to the developer.
The latter should allow players to create their own campaigns, and share them right alongside their custom maps on Steam Workshop.
Black One Blood Brothers is a tactical military shooter game where strategy and coordination are key. Joining the “Black One” unit, you become part of an elite force composed of top operators from around the World. This time, the threat is global, driving Black One into high-risk missions across the globe in the hope of resolving an unprecedented conflict. Operating independently of any government, this unit works from the shadows, free from political games and diplomatic constraints. As the leader of this squad, you’re tasked with executing complex missions where every decision could mean the difference between life and death. Customize your crew, plan and adjust your tactics dynamically, and enjoy high replayability.
