Nintendo Download: Save Hyrule with the Wisdom of Princess Zelda!

Always an auspicious time, Nintendo fans can once again dive into the mythic land of Hyrule with a new The Legend of Zelda title.

Sure, a new Super Mario game is probably a bigger event, but there are few Nintendo arrivals that hold the same level of excitement as when a new The Legend of Zelda lands. And if you’ve been looking forward to the isometric action of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, your time is now.

The new addition to the winding timelines of the series, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom shakes things up considerably. For one thing, it stars Princess Zelda and not traditional hero Link, complete with reversed roles. And for another, Zelda isn’t wielding a sword… exclusively.

Instead of a blade, Zelda mainly uses magic to create ‘echoes’ of things and enemies, which she can then use to interact with the kingdom of Hyrule and a twisted dark dimension that’s threatening to consume the land. It definitely looks like something new for the games, and goes double for the classically-styled 2.5D editions.

Since a new ‘Zelda’ is dropping, you might expect the rest of the Nintendo Download to be a little slim, and you’d be… wrong. Oddly enough, this week also brings EA SPORTS FC 25, and the great-looking Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. There’s also a huge list of smaller releases, so make sure you take a look at the full listing below.
