Sink your fangs into the unboxing of Sideshow’s newest, the vampiric David from The Lost Boys

The Lost Boys is a perennial horror favorite, and now the film’s lead vamp has a fresh figure from collectible company Sideshow.

Updated: Please note that an earlier version of this article mentioned Hot Toys as the manufacturer of the “David” figure from The Lost Boys. That was incorrect, and it is in fact Sideshow that’s producing the piece. The article has been updated to reflect the accurate information.

They’re just noodles

Before you ask, yes, Chinese food containers are indeed included in with Sideshow’s newest offering, The Lost Boys’ David. Though that iconic scene from the film isn’t the only one that fans can reenact on their shelves with the company’s latest sixth scale drop.

As with most all of Sideshow’s figures, David looks to be screen accurate, and comes with appropriate accessories and is highly detailed in both his outfit and his portrait. That’s a face, of course, that’s modeled after the likeness of actor Kiefer Sutherland, who portrayed the wicked vampire in the 1987 film.

In a cool twist, the nostalgia doesn’t stop there, as the packaging has been crafted to remind collectors of a VHS box, and the inner box is deco’d after one of those aforementioned take out boxes. Even if you don’t usually save boxes, this one’s very tempting to hang onto.

Here’s Sideshow’s first look, with all the details:

A seemingly unassuming Californian town, the idyllic coastal community of Santa Carla, harbors a dark secret. Beyond the vibrant boardwalk and glittering carousel lurks a predatory gang of vampires …

Inspired by the 1987 cult classic film The Lost Boysthe David 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Sideshow masterfully captures the likeness of actor Kiefer Sutherland in his memorable role as leader of a vampiric gang. The figure comes with both a neutral portrait and a fanged vampire portrait, which feature detailed, sculpted hair styled in his signature blonde mullet. David wears a custom-tailored, movie-accurate fabric costume. His outfit is layered with an undershirt, a faux leather jacket, an overcoat with decorative medals and buttons, plus faux leather pants.

Fans can recreate many memorable scenes from the movie with an enjoyable range of accessories such as three takeout boxes filled with noodles, maggots, and worms, plus an ornate wine bottle. The figure also comes with a total of 10 swap-out hands in various gestures including fists, ungloved claws, and a right hand with non-removable chopsticks.

To give collectors even more display options, the figure features swap-out feet including David’s spurred boots, bare clawed feet, and a third option of bare feet for hanging upside down. David can be displayed upside down on the figure stand and comes with a cave ceiling accessory to create a monstrous, gravity-defying pose.

Say hello to the night with the David 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Sideshow. Available to pre-order now from Sideshow.com.
