The funny fat-cat arrives on disc this month, with Sony Pictures’ Garfield

The recently released Garfield, starring Chris Pratt as the title big orange cat, is hitting DVD and Blu-ray. Look for it this month.

Guard your lasagna

Released in May, Sony Pictures’ newest take on creator Jim Davis’ iconic Garfield did pretty well for itself at the box office. While it didn’t make a heck of a lot of headlines in the entertainment news, the animated flick actually pulled in over $250 million USD globally, according to Box Office Mojo.

The success is a little bit of a surprise, given that Garfield isn’t exactly as big as he’s been in decades past, but then again, maybe it shouldn’t be. After all The Garfield Movie has a bit of a star-studded voice-cast, with Chris Pratt as Garfield, plus the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, and more.

Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
