Nintendo Download: You Know the Drill

Another sharp week for the Switch delivers the great looking Pepper Grinder, South Park: Snow Day, retro adventure Felix the Cat, and more.

Disappointing day

So yeah, it’s mostly a decent week for Switch fans, with a number of solid looking games to get down on, though we’d be remiss if we didn’t touch on South Park. From, THQ Nordic, South Park: Snow Day is another entry in the cartoon’s hit and miss video game catalog.

Not that we can say for certain mind you, but the role-playing co-op title is getting a little roughed up in the way of word of mouth. Is it as bad as some are saying? Again, we can’t really comment, though we do have a review on the way, so stay tuned for that. And anyway, if you’re on the fence about the lads from land of the ice and snow, you can always dig in on some of the other notable stuff this week.

While there aren’t any blockbusters among the rest of the new eShop additions, there are some decently sized names. For one thing, there’s a retro platformer starring classic animation icon Felix the Cat, then there’s also mother-daughter road trip adventure Open Roads, and the long-awaited Pepper Grinder. A gorgeous looking side-scrolling platformer, Pepper Grinder stars a young lady who wields a giant drill. Did we mention it’s great looking?

All of that is joined, as usual, by a horde of smaller releases. There’s not much in that lot that looks worth talking about here, but take a look anyway. You never know.
